and fax transmissions. Each VOIP company makes specific hardware devices available
to their subscribers. Following are some of the more popular devices:

Phone Adapter
This device includes standard phone jacks and fax jacks and requires a connection
directly to the modem.

Wireless Phone Adapter
The same as a phone adapter but with a wireless connection.

Phones/Wireless Phones
These are specially designed to connect directly to the modem and support VOIP calls.

WiFi VOIP Phones
Allow VOIPcalls to be made from wothin a WiFi network.

Keychain Phones
These must plug in to the USB connection on a computer but can be used to make
VOIP calls from any remote computer with a broadband connection.
